President Clinton to make Nevada campaign swing

Former President Clinton will be in Las Vegas this weekend to campaign for Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, with stops in Northern Nevada on Monday, Obama’s campaign announced.

Clinton is scheduled to hold a Sunday afternoon rally in Las Vegas. On Monday morning, the former president will be in Elko and Reno, according to the campaign.

No further details were available on the visits.

As the election comes down to the wire, Nevada is one of a handful of states Obama and Republican John McCain are battling to win.

Obama’s running mate, Joe Biden, is scheduled to visit Henderson on Friday. Early voting begins Saturday.
