Sketch released of man who attacked woman, 65

Las Vegas police released a sketch this afternoon of a man who they suspect severely beat up a 65-year-old woman earlier this week and stole her car.

Police said the suspect is a Hispanic man in his late 20s with a stocky, muscular build and shaved head. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt

Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Lt. Clint Nichols said the attacked occurred about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the woman’s home near Smoke Ranch Road and Buffalo Drive.

He said the man knocked on the woman’s door with the ruse of a lost dog. Nichols said the suspect sat on the victim’s chest and punched her about 40 times. He mentioned needing her car, took her keys and fled in the vehicle, Nichols said.

The car is a silver 2009 Infiniti G35 with Nevada license plate number 807KPC.

Anyone with information regarding the assault is urged to call the Police Department's Robbery Section at 828-3591 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
