SUV crushes, kills man, 63
A 63-year-old man was killed Thursday evening after his sport utility vehicle, which was parked in his driveway, rolled backward onto him and crushed him.
Las Vegas police said the man, whose name was not released, had just pulled his 2001 Chevrolet Blazer into his driveway at 9900 Shadowgate Court, near Tropicana Avenue and Hualapai Way.
He got out of the vehicle and began to inspect the undercarriage. Police said it appeared the vehicle was in neutral and began rolling toward the street, and the man was dragged and crushed about 5:32 p.m.
The left front tire came to rest on top of the man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
