Task force captures fugitive

A law enforcement task force Tuesday arrested a fugitive in Las Vegas who is a suspect in a fatal shooting in Dallas, U.S. marshals said.

The U.S. Marshals Service said 26-year-old Kevin Jermaine Davis was booked into the Clark County Detention Center after he was arrested by the Nevada Fugitive Investigative Strike Team. The task force worked with Las Vegas and North Las Vegas police to make the arrest, on the 3800 block of East Gowan Road.

Davis is scheduled to appear in court Thursday. He is wanted in connection with an Oct. 24 incident in which authorities said he shot a man at close range.
