An 18-year-old man was arrested late Thursday in the Sept. 5 slaying of a 19-year-old who was gunned down on his doorstep, North Las Vegas police said.

Valentin Zuniga was booked into jail on one count of murder with a deadly weapon and one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling.

The victim, Julian Roman, was shot multiple times after answering a knock at the door. Detectives believe Zuniga had a grudge against Roman.

Zuniga was arrested about 10 p.m. Thursday on the 2600 block of Harewood Avenue, near Interstate 15 and Cheyenne Avenue.
