The Box nightclub possibly on way to Strip

A notorious New York City burlesque club is reportedly in talks with management at The Venetian and the Palazzo.

The Box nightclub has become so popular as an exclusive celebrity hot spot that it's opening a sister club in London, and eyeing Las Vegas if the rumors are true.

The London sister club is said to be far tamer than the New York location, where transvestites and freak shows push it well past acceptable risqué standards in Las Vegas.

The man behind The Box is Simon Hammerstein, grandson of legendary lyricist and theatrical producer Oscar Hammerstein.

It might be a tough sell for Hammerstein and company after Planet Hollywood Resort was hit with a $750,000 fine two years for failing to control illicit activity inside Prive nightclub, a tenant.

THE SCENE AND HEARD

Among the Memorial Day Weekend celebrity horde was British costume and lighting designer Jeffrey Michael, whose career is on the rise since he created several of Lady Gaga's key looks. He met over the weekend with Garrett Bauman, founder of Annie Creamcheese vintage boutique, one of which is at The Palazzo, to show him his first collection. They discussed putting on fashion shows at Annie Creamcheese stores. Bauman came away convinced Michael's designs will "not only blow away the fashion community" but will elevate him to the level of the late Alexander McQueen. ...

Paying attention to fashion details paid off for District Court Judge Jackie Glass. Spies tell me she hired a hair and makeup artist during the O.J. Simpson trial in 2008. It was announced last week that the former KTNV-TV, Channel 13, reporter and weekend anchor will take over in September for Nancy Grace as host of CBS' "Swift Justice."
