Rescuers who have been searching for a small plane since it was reported missing after departing from North Las Vegas on Sunday found wreckage Thursday in a mountainous area about 20 miles southeast of the Minden-Tahoe Airport in Northern Nevada.
Douglas County sheriff’s Sgt. Pat Brooks said the crew of a Washoe County search helicopter spotted the wreckage of a Cessna 182 Thursday afternoon in the Pine Nut Mountains, near Bald Mountain.
Two bodies were found, but officials had not confirmed whether they belong to missing Reno pilot Cory Marble, 30, and his missing 21-year-old girlfriend, a Minden resident.
