Two found dead in Henderson home

A 23-year-old man and 24-year-old woman were found dead at her mother's Henderson home early Tuesday in what is believed to have been a murder-suicide, said Todd Rasmussen, Henderson police spokesman.

Officers responded to the home on Oak Shade Lane, near Boulder Highway and Equestrian Drive, after the mother of the woman called 911 about 3:30 a.m. regarding gunshots in her house, Rasmussen said.

Police say the couple had a history of domestic violence. The two had dated for some time and the man was staying with the woman at her mother's house, Rasmussen said.

Autopsy reports from the Clark County coroner's office will help determine the sequence of events, he said.

The names of the man and woman were withheld by the coroner Tuesday.
