UNLV-Southern Utah: No. 22 Rebels end losing streak with 72-50 victory

Anthony Marshall scored 17 points and Carlos Lopez had 12 points and 11 rebounds as UNLV coasted to a 72-50 victory over Southern Utah at the Thomas & Mack Center tonight.
The No. 22 Rebels (10-2) never trailed and led 37-18 at halftime. The Thunderbirds dropped to 3-8.
Chace Stanback had nine points and Justin Hawkins and Tre’Von Willis scored eight apiece for UNLV.
HALFTIME REPORT
Sophomore guard Anthony Marshall scored eight points as UNLV rolled to a 37-18 halftime lead over Southern Utah tonight at the Thomas & Mack Center.
The Rebels (9-2) never trailed and went ahead 24-10 on Justin Hawkins’ three-point play with nine minutes left.
Marshall started in place of senior Derrick Jasper, who’s out with a hyperextended right knee. Tre’Von Willis scored six points and Hawkins and Chace Stanback had five apiece for UNLV.
The Thunderbirds (3-7) shot 6-for-24 from the field and had 11 turnovers.
