UNLV visits San Diego State in regular-season finale

SAN DIEGO — Tre’Von Willis scored 11 points and Joe Darger and Rene Rougeau each had six to lift UNLV to a 25-24 halftime lead over San Diego State tonight at Cox Arena.

The Rebels (21-8, 9-6 Mountain West Conference) and Aztecs (20-8, 10-5) will meet again at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the MWC tournament quarterfinals at the Thomas & Mack Center. The winner of tonight’s game will be the No. 4 seed and the loser will be No. 5.
