RENO — University of Nevada, Reno Police Chief Adam Garcia is opposing a bill to let school employees carry guns on campus.
Garcia said the bill introduced last week by Republican state Sen. Joe Hardy of Boulder City could have unintended consequences.
The bill would let employees of Nevada’s higher education system carry guns on campus if they have a concealed weapon permit and notify administrators they will be armed.
