Windy weather brings haze and dust to Las Vegas

Dust and haze cloaked the Las Vegas valley for most of Wednesday as strong winds blew cooler air into the area.

Clouds formed over Red Rock National Conservation area as well as along the mountains ringing the northern part of the valley.

Winds are expected to taper off and the temperature will begin to rise by Friday. The National Weather Service says areas of blowing dust will persist through Thursday.
