Woman arrested after standoff with North Las Vegas police

A woman who threatened to burn down her husband’s apartment and set him on fire Wednesday was locked in a stand off with North Las Vegas police for more than two hours before being arrested.

Police said 38-year-old Sabrina Reynolds was booked into the North Las Vegas Detention Center on one count of attempted murder and one count of arson.

Police said Reynolds broke into her husband’s apartment about 12:45 p.m. at 3300 Civic Center Drive, near Cheyenne Avenue, armed with accelerant and matches. Police said a victim was able to get out of the apartment safely.

SWAT was able to enter the house after Reynolds set it on fire, police said. No one was injured. Police said the fire was extinguished quickly.

Nearby Craig and Lincoln elementary schools were placed on lockdown because of the standoff. Four other buildings in the complex were evacuated, police said.
