Woman arrested, charged in drowning of daughter

A 23-year-old woman is charged with second-degree murder in the drowning of her 5-year-old daughter, who was left in the bathtub unattended with the bathroom door closed, police said today.

The drowning happened Tuesday. Police made the arrest today.

Raven Gibbons was charged with child neglect with substantial bodily harm. Her daughter, D’Amber Myles, suffered from severe cerebral palsy and only had use of her right arm. Gibbons is being held without bail in the Clark County Detention Center. She is scheduled to appear in court on July 7.
