Woman arrested in shootings

A young girl and a man remained hospitalized Monday after being shot by a woman during a neighborhood dispute this weekend, Las Vegas police said.

Police said a 4-year-old girl was shot in the stomach, and a man was seriously wounded in the Saturday night incident at 239 W. Philadelphia Ave., near Main Street.

Police arrested 23-year-old Angela Williams in connection with the shootings. She was in the Clark County Detention Center Monday afternoon on recommended charges of attempted murder and battery with a deadly weapon, police said.

Officer Marty Wright, a spokesman with Las Vegas police, said an altercation led to the shooting. He did not know whether Williams knew the victims or was related to them.

Wright said both were taken to University Medical Center in critical condition.
