Woman dies in North Las Vegas shooting

A 46-year-old woman was shot and killed during a gunbattle between a group of men outside a North Las Vegas grocery store tonight.

The woman is believed to have been an innocent bystander during the 8:47 p.m. shooting outside the Sunny Market at 600 W. Lake Mead Blvd., near Losee Road, said North Las Vegas police.

Sgt. Tim Bedwell said a group of men became involved in an altercation in the store that moved outside and ended in an exchange of gunfire. The woman, whose name was not released, was shot in the parking lot and died at the scene, Bedwell said.

Police have not yet released any information regarding the suspects.
