Woman indicted on two counts in crash that killed two people

A 19-year-old woman accused of causing a crash that killed two people has been indicted on two counts of driving under the influence resulting in death, according to court records.

Authorities allege Anita Mann on Feb. 16 had a blood alcohol level of 0.26 percent, more than three times the legal limit of 0.08, when her car slammed into the rear of a sports utility vehicle. Killed were Henderson residents Karen Hicks and Louis Madden, both 65.

The crash occurred about 11:40 a.m. on Horizon Ridge Parkway at Shaded Canyon Drive, near Gibson Road.

Mann, who faces other charges for an earlier crash, is being held at the Clark County Detention Center on $240,000 bond, according to jail records. She is to be arraigned before Judge Valorie Vega on March 23.
