WRANGLERS ADD FRASER FROM AHL, SIGN GOALIE PERRICONE

The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that center Curtis Fraser has been returned by the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League. The team also announced that goalie Joey Perricone has been signed and goalie Tyler Sims has been released to return to Providence College.

Fraser joins the team after spending the bulk of the season in the AHL with the San Antonio. In 41 games with the Rampage, Fraser scored four goals and added two assists for six points. The rookie forward placed in the top ten on the team with 85 penalty minutes, despite playing in only half of the team's games.

The Surrey, BC native played in only five games with the Wranglers this season. During his stint with Las Vegas, Fraser scored three goals and assisted on eight others for 11 points. The centerman also posted a +8 with five penalty minutes. Fraser recorded a career-high four-point night in Phoenix on November 11th, 2007, a 5-1 win for the Wranglers. On April 1st, the 26-year old scored and added two assists for three points in a 5-3 win at Phoenix.

Prior to joining the Wranglers, Fraser spent four years at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. In 148 NCAA games with the Nanooks, Fraser scored 59 goals and assisted on 55 others for 114 points. After finishing his college career last March, Fraser joined the Chicago Wolves of the AHL for four playoff games. Fraser did not register a point with Chicago during the 2007 AHL Playoffs.

Perricone joins Las Vegas after a five-year stay in Moose Jaw with the Western Hockey League's Warriors. During his tenure in Moose Jaw, Perricone posted a 93-80-22 record with a 3.04 goals against average and a .903 save percentage. The 20-year old is coming off his final WHL season in 2007-08. The San Juan Capistrano, CA native went 28-16-13 with five shutouts, a 2.76 goals against average and a .912 save percentage with the Warriors this year.

After three games in Stockton, the series returns to the Orleans Arena for Game Six and possibly Game Seven. Game Six will start at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena on Tuesday, April 22nd. If necessary, Game Seven will be on Wednesday, April 23rd at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena.
