Wranglers Shuffle Roster, Taylor to AHL, St. Croix Returns

The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League have returned defenseman Chris St. Croix. The team also announced that forward Justin Taylor has been loaned to the Chicago Wolves (AHL). Las Vegas signed rookie forwards Kevin DeVergilio and Garret Regan to Amateur Tryout Agreements (ATO).

Chris St. Croix (pronounced Saint Croy) returns to the Wranglers after a scoreless six-game stint with Manitoba. St. Croix has played in 41 games with Las Vegas, scoring a goal and adding six assists for seven points. The 29-year old defenseman was acquired in a trade with Elmira in late November. The Voorhees, NJ native has played in 581 professional games, scoring 65 times and adding 184 assists for 249 points.

Taylor heads back to Chicago for his fourth stint with the Wolves this season. In all, Taylor has played in 14 games for Chicago, scoring two goals and adding two assists for a total of four points. In 36 games with Las Vegas this year, the center has 13 goals and 17 assists for 30 points.

Rookie center Kevin DeVergilio is expected to make his pro debut this weekend in Las Vegas. The Sterling Heights, MI native recently wrapped up a four-year playing career at St. Lawrence University. In 143 games with the Saints, DeVergilio scored 42 goals and 71 assists for 113 points.

Fellow rookie Garret Regan is also expected to make his pro debut this weekend in Las Vegas. The Hastings, MN native just finished his fourth season at Notre Dame University. In 154 NCAA contests, Regan scored 31 times and assisted on 33 others for 64 points.

Las Vegas will conclude the regular season on Friday, April 3rd and Saturday April 4th, hosting the Stockton Thunder at 7:30 PM both nights.
