Al Gore gets rich off of global warming scam

To the editor:

If there were any doubt that the hysteria over man-made global warming is a scam being perpetrated to line the pockets of the well-connected, just look at the recent actions of the U.S. Department of Energy.

The United States government has loaned $529 million to a Finnish company that is producing a $90,000 hybrid sports car.

You have to be outraged that funds which are supposed to be used to create, or save, American jobs are being loaned to a foreign company. That is not the full story, though.

Al Gore, the main spokesman for the global warming hysteria, is a partner in the Finnish car company. The man who creates the hysteria is now receiving federal money for cars made in Europe that few will be able to afford.

Al Gore perpetuates the man-made global warming story line and then enriches himself on carbon credit schemes, hybrid car grants and who knows what else. He and his fellow conspirators are obviously playing the governments of the world for the fool.

I want to believe that the people in power in this country are intelligent enough to see through this scam and will change course regarding cap and trade, coal-fired plant bans, and other feel-good policies that a country in deep debt cannot afford. Evidence seems to indicate I give them too much credit.

To the editor:

I seem to recall that Sen. Harry Reid has stated that there is just too much important work for the Senate to do, so he didn't have the time to investigate the activities at ACORN.

However, I see in a recent story that Sen. Reid is pressing President Obama to speed up and repeal the "don't ask, don't tell" policy for gays in the military. He has found the time to send two letters trying to get support to abolish this practice.

If he can find the time for this, why can't time be found to investigate ACORN? Maybe he thinks they may uncover some funny business and Democratic connections if they investigate?

No, surely that isn't his reasoning. Is it?
