AT&T and net neutrality

In Friday’s front-page wire-service story about the repeal of net neutrality, AT&T’s senior Vice President Bob Quinn said the internet “will continue to work tomorrow just as it always has” and they won’t block or slowdown traffic or content. If that’s so, why did they work so hard to change it?
