LETTER: An NFL player comes out

In his June 27 letter to the editor, Robert Havens asked if it would be front-page news if he “announced” that he was heterosexual. The answer: If heterosexuals were socially and legally vilified thanks to a 4,000-year-old book of parables calling his sexual proclivities “an abomination,” then yes, it might be at the forefront of news coverage.
