LETTER: Politicians and systemic racism

Americans in general follow the laws, adhere to the restrictions and practice common courtesy.

We are being told by our elected political class, a class well-compensated and extremely privileged, that we as a nation are systemically racist.

But many of these politicians have been in office for decades.

The laws and restrictions we follow are measures that they initiated.

I’m confused. For my part, I cannot believe that the majority of workers harbor malice and wish misfortune toward others.

Although our illustrious leaders (tongue in cheek) believe that breaking everything down into little categories keeps us from knowing how they nickel-and-dime us to death, it doesn’t elude us.
