LETTER: The White House lawn can wait

Talk about being tone deaf (“First lady to spearhead face-lift of Rose Garden,” Tuesday Review-Journal). In the midst of record unemployment, increasing COVID infections and deaths and protests sweeping the country, the first lady is redoing the White House landscaping. Perhaps, she should wait until November. Then she may not (I hope) find it necessary.

I got a chuckle after reading a recent article in the Review-Journal. Bigwigs at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority couldn’t contain their anger regarding visa fees that the Trump administration plans to impose on some international travelers.
