LETTER: Use engineering to solve Las Vegas water woes

The “water conundrum” has a solution (Sunday Review-Journal commentary). The Columbia River runs more fresh water into the ocean than the Mississippi. The Pacific Ocean doesn’t need it. We have this wonderful Boring machine. Dig a few tunnels, a few canals and perhaps build a few atomic-powered pumping stations from this side of the mountains to the Columbia. Las Vegas and agriculture would flourish.
