Man uses diabetes diagnosis to inspire business concept

Sun City Summerlin is the pilot market for a new business in town, The Souper Bowl, which brings a nutritious soup-and-salad meal direct to homes. Founder James Denney said the idea for the business came after he and his wife were diagnosed with diabetes.

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District Board of Trustees heard from the public Sept. 13 regarding its rental fee structure for library facilities. The discussion prompted the board to vote to reduce its fees, effective immediately, including the hourly rate from $170 to $40.
