President Nicolas Sarkozy pledged to crack down on “troublemakers” and guarantee public order, raising the possibility of more confrontations with young rioters.
MGM Resorts International announced Tuesday it raised $511 million by selling 40.9 million shares of common stock and plans to pay down its $13 billion debt. Also, billionaire Kirk Kerkorian sold almost 28 million shares of MGM Resorts. The company did not receive any proceeds from the sale of Kerkorian’s shares.
