‘Tune-In’ to Glioblastoma during Brain Cancer Awareness Month

(BPT) - Interested in using social media for a good cause? Look no further. In recognition of Brain Cancer Awareness Month this May, Twitter users everywhere can support glioblastoma (GBM) patients through the Tune-In to GBM campaign by tweeting the #TuneIn2GBM hashtag from May 1, 2014 through May 31, 2014. GBM is the most common and deadly form of primary brain cancer and affects approximately 10,000 Americans each year. The exact cause of GBM is not known.

The Cancer Support Community, the Chris Elliott Fund, the LIVESTRONG Foundation and the Musella Foundation, four non-profit organizations dedicated to supporting brain cancer patients and their families, are partnering with Novocure to help raise awareness about GBM by providing valuable information about GBM, available support and currently approved treatment options.

“We are very proud of the way the Tune-In to GBM campaign brings together the brain cancer community to support patients and families who are fighting this deadly disease,” said Peter Melnyk, Chief Commercial Officer of Novocure. “We are thrilled to partner with and support these four wonderful patient advocacy organizations to raise awareness about this deadly disease, and look forward to hearing from people who are “tuning in” to GBM this month and throughout the year.”
