50 Cent joins list of worst ceremonial first pitches

Most ceremonial first pitches prior to baseball games tend to run the gamut from acceptable to totally lame.
Then Curtis Jackson decided to take it to a new low.
Jackson, better known as rapper 50 Cent, was at Citi Field Tuesday to handle the first pitch ceremonies prior to the Mets-Pirates game to help promote an upcoming postgame concert he will perform in Queens. The left-handed rapper then delivered what many believe was the all-time worst pitch in the history of the endeavor. It was a good 10 feet left of home plate and within seconds he was getting killed on social media for his performance.
“Fitty” fired back at his critics on Instagram, saying, “I’m a hustler, not a baller. LMAO.”
He now joins some elite company for worst performance by a ceremonial pitcher, which includes Olympian Carl Lewis, NBA guard John Wall, and pop singers Carly Rae Jepsen and Mariah Carey.
Hopefully, the Mets will give 50 Cent a chance at redemption on the mound. If they do, may we suggest that he invest some of that Vitamin Water money he’s made in pitching lessons.
If you need a good laugh, watch the video below. It’s hilarious and it will do wonders for your own self esteem because you know in your heart you can throw a baseball better than 50 Cent.
