Carlos Triunfel hit a two-run double in the second inning, and two Tacoma pitcher combined to hold the 51s to four hits as the Rainiers gained a 4-1 victory in the Pacific Coast League on Saturday at Tacoma, Wash.
Rainiers right-hander Erasmo Ramirez (5-3) pitched 7 1/3 innings, allowing four hits and an unearned run while striking out six and walking two. Shawn Kelley finished for his sixth save.
Las Vegas left-hander Brett Cecil (1-2) gave up three runs on nine hits in seven innings, striking out six and walking two. He allowed a run in the fourth inning on Alex Liddi's RBI single, and Liddi added another RBI single off reliever Jim Hoey in the eighth.
The teams conclude their four-game series at 1:35 p.m. today before they play another four-game series Monday through Thursday at Cashman Field.
