51s-Omaha game suspended in ninth

The 51s were in the midst of a go-ahead rally in the ninth inning Thursday when their Pacific Coast League game against the Omaha Storm Chasers was suspended because of rain in Papillion, Neb.

The game is to be completed before the start of tonight's game, scheduled for 5:05 PDT.

Mike McCoy, Dewayne Wise and Brett Lawrie hit consecutive RBI singles to put Las Vegas up 7-5 when the game was called with no outs and the bases loaded.

David Cooper and Jason Lane hit back-to-back run-scoring singles in the fourth to give the 51s (22-18) a 3-2 lead. Omaha (23-16) went ahead 4-3 in the fifth on a run-scoring throwing error and Clint Robinson's 10th home run of the season.

Mike Moustakas' two-out RBI double in the seventh gave the Storm Chasers a 5-3 edge that they took into the ninth.
