■ HIGHLIGHTS: At Cashman Field, in the completion of a game suspended by rain May 6 at Sacramento, Wilmer Flores homered twice, doubled and had three RBIs, and Zach Lutz homered and had three RBIs for the 51s (58-48). ... The game was called Sunday in the middle of the seventh inning because of unsafe conditions caused by wind gusts of up to 60 mph. ... The weather led to postponement of the regularly scheduled game, which will be made up today as part of a doubleheader at Cashman Field, starting at 5:05 p.m. Both games will be seven innings. ... Las Vegas leads Sacramento (57-51) by two games in the Pacific Southern Division. ... The 51s scored five runs in the first inning. Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Collin Cowgill walked to lead off May 6 at Sacramento, so Las Vegas began Sunday’s completion with runners on first and second and no outs. Ruben Tejada (4-for-4) singled to load the bases, Lutz hit a sacrifice fly and Flores hit an RBI double. Jordany Valdespin hit a two-run single — his eighth straight hit in real time after going 4-for-4 on Friday and 3-for-3 on Saturday — for a 4-0 lead, and Jamie Hoffmann capped the surge with an RBI double. ... The River Cats scored three in the first on Daric Barton’s bases-loaded double, but got no closer. Las Vegas added a run in the third on Flores’ leadoff homer, four in the fourth when Lutz and Flores hit back-to-back homers and three in the seventh. After that, play was halted for 56 minutes before the game was called.
