Anderson’s late TD run lifts Mountain View to 32-28 win

Justyn Anderson's 12-yard touchdown run with a minute to play Saturday lifted Mountain View High School to a 32-28 win over Army/Navy Academy (Calif.) in Carlsbad, Calif.

The Saints trailed 28-18 before T.J. Engel hit Trevor Van Kempen on a 22-yard touchdown pass with 10 minutes left to trim Army/Navy's lead to 28-24.

Anderson raced in for the winning score on just his third carry. Engel added a 2-point conversion pass to Karl Benjamin.

Cortland LeBoeuf's 17-yard touchdown run gave Mountain View a 6-0 lead, but Army/Navy scored the next 15 points and Mountain View didn't regain the lead until Anderson's score.

Engel had touchdown runs of 7 yards and 1 yard in the second quarter for Mountain View. He rushed 18 times for 73 yards and was 9 of 24 passing for 149 yards.

LeBoeuf had nine carries for 66 yards as the Saints had 360 yards of total offense.

Army/Navy's Greg Elliott caught touchdown passes of 30 and 20 yards from Varden Bernstein and returned a kickoff 75 yards for another score. Bernstein, who threw four interceptions, also had a 2-yard TD run.
