The 51s (52-57) tacked on two more runs in the seventh inning on a double by Manny Mayorson and Mike Jacobs' two-out single.

Las Vegas starter Robert Ray (4-5) went five innings, allowing four hits and walking four while striking out three.

Steven Register and Jesse Carlson held Sacramento in check before Jeremy Accordo came on to get the final five outs and pick up his 21st save.

John Halama, who pitched for seven big league teams, allowed one run in five innings for the River Cats (60-49).
