Arizona-bound Ashley dominates in Findlay Prep’s blowout victory

Brandon Ashley had 17 points, 16 rebounds and five blocks to power the Findlay Prep basketball team to a 93-45 rout of Stoneridge Prep (Calif.) on Friday at South Point Arena.

Ashley, a senior power forward who has signed with Arizona, scored 13 points in the first half to help the Pilots (15-1) build a 33-21 lead before breaking the game open in the second half.

"(Ashley's) got great hands, good footwork and can finish," coach Michael Peck said. "He's got good poise and patience."

Winston Shepard supplied 23 points and seven rebounds for the Pilots. Chris Wood, a junior forward who has committed to UNLV, had 15 points and four blocks, all in the second half.

Amedeo Della Valle added 14 points, and Dominic Artis had 10 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Dustin Watts led Stoneridge Prep with 10 points and six rebounds.
