51s lose at Omaha on two-run homer in eighth inning

Brian Bocock hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning to give the Omaha Storm Chasers a 3-2 Pacific Coast League victory over the 51s on Saturday night in Papillion, Neb.
Taylor Teagarden had given Las Vegas (72-57) a 2-0 lead with a two-run homer in the seventh inning. Omaha scored in the bottom of the inning on a sacrifice fly.
Logan Verrett (10-5) pitched a complete game for the 51s, allowing two earned runs, four hits, two walks and striking out seven. Las Vegas had five hits against three pitchers.
The victory propelled the Storm Chasers (67-60) into first place in the American North Division.
The second-game of the four-game series will be at 2:05 p.m. today, with the 51s sending right-hander Noah Syndergaard (8-6, 4.76 ERA) to the mound against right-hander Liam Hendriks (2-1, 4.95 ERA).
