Cubs’ pitcher’s no-hit bid fails in eighth

Chicago starting pitcher Jake Arrieta had a no-hit shutout going through seven innings, but gave up a double with one out in the eighth inning to lose the bid. The Cubs were still leading 6-0 going into the inning.
