Reports: Pelicans agree to deals with Fredette, Miller

The New Orleans Pelicans agreed to one-year deals with guard Jimmer Fredette and forward Darius Miller, multiple media outlets reported Friday.

Fredette finished last season with the Chicago Bulls after he was released in March by the Sacramento Kings. He averaged 5.6 points per game on nearly 48 percent 3-point shooting.

In three NBA seasons, the former Brigham Young star has averaged 6.9 points per game on 41.7 percent shooting, including 40.1 percent on 3-pointers.

Miller, 6-foot-8, averaged 4.4 points in 45 games last season. He was New Orleans’ second-round pick in 2012.

Fredette and Miller get a chance to replace Anthony Morrow’s role as the team’s designated perimeter-shooting specialist. Morrow signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder earlier this week
