Colorado State top seed for Mountain West women’s tournament

Colorado State (28-1, 18-0) won the 2015-16 Mountain West regular-season title and enters the league tournament as the No. 1 seed.

The tournament will be held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at the Thomas & Mack Center.

No. 6-seeded UNLV (16-13, 9-9) will face No. 11 Air Force (1-28, 1-17) in the third of three first-round games at 7 p.m. Monday.

The quarterfinals are set for Tuesday, with the UNLV-Air Force winner facing No. 3 seed Boise State (19-10, 12-6) at 8:30 p.m.

The semifinals will be played Wednesday and the title game at noon Friday.
