Race 1 - 6 furlongs, Purse $25,000, Claiming $25,000, 4-year-olds and up
4 Valentine Boy - In this NW2L condition, none of these like to win; has run fast enough to be there at the end.
2 Robie the Cat - Taking a huge class drop to face much easier; the Richard Mandella barn has been hot all winter.
Long Shot - 3 World Renowned
Race 2 - 6 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Claiming $8,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
2 Warren’s Morgan - Ran a career best speed figure in last win; cheap horses have trouble repeating, but if he does, he wins.
5 Courageousandbold - Sliding down the claiming ladder to this bottom rung; her last two races are good for this low level.
Long Shot - 4 Real Housewife
Race 3 - 1 mile (turf), $75,000 American Beauty, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
2 In the Stars - Classiest sort in the field, but no lock; lost to a real good one, Mizdirection, last time in the Buena Vista.
3 Byrony - It only seems like John Sadler is starting half the horses on this card; he has 3-of-5 in this minor stakes.
Long Shot - 5 Moone’s My Name
Race 4 - 7 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Claiming $16,000, 4-year-olds and up
1 Format V - Another even race, wide open in the pick 5 and pick 6; rematch against Yes It’s Snowing, but can turn the tables.
6 Yes It’s Snowing - Claimed by Doug O’Neill off a sharp win in last; congrats on winning the Santa Anita Derby with Goldencents.
Long Shot - 2 National
Race 5 - 1 mile (turf), Purse $45,000, Claiming $50,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
4 Secret Cove - Huge class drop to face an easier task today; exits two minor stakes for this $50K price tag.
5 Funny Belle - Beaten favorite ran well in last despite a surface switch race; she is much better on the grass.
Long Shot - 3 Gittel
Race 6 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $31,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
2 Bev’s Finale - Been away 9-months, but showed ability at Del Mar; taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to claiming.
5 Warren’s Tyler S. - Woke up in last with a career best effort; rallied from left field as he has not a drop of early speed.
Long Shot - 4 Surf N Ski
Race 7 - 1 mile (turf), Purse $56,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds
6 Aleander - Bob Baffert has an uncoupled entry so caveat emptor; tries turf for the first time, but is bred for it.
8 Pure Loyalty - Logical chalk also trying turf for the first time; has tactical speed to sit a perfect trip.
Long Shot - 1 Say Ow
Race 8 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $60,000, Optional claiming $62,500, 4-year-olds and up
6 Castaway - Bob Baffert colt has underachieved so far; he has ability, maybe at some point they might try the ultimate change.
4 Italian Rules - Claimed by Bill Spawr off a fast win; has speed to lead early of sit just off the pacesetters.
Long Shot - 2 Haverhill
Race 9 - 1 mile (turf), Purse $56,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
1 In a Wine Tizzy - Speedball tactics just missed two races in a row; like that he has the rail and Edwin Maldonado.
6 Super Ability - Came back running off an extended layoff; 5-YO has started only twice in his career.
Long Shot - 7 Real Heat
Best Bet - 2 Bev’s Finale (race 6)
