Race 2 - 6 furlongs, $90,000 Pirate’s Bounty, 3-year-olds and up

6 Seeking the Sherif - Speedball gets class relief from the grade 1 Bing Crosby for this; caps off a fine meet for Ron Ellis.

5 Ankeny Hill - Another speedball in a race full of early pace; Tyler Baze loves to control the early fractions.

Long Shot - 4 No Silent

Race 3 - 1 1/8th miles, Purse $33,000, Claiming $16,000, 3-year-olds and up

8 Friendly Banter - Claimed by Doug O’Neill off a sharp win and well spotted to repeat; won last time as a ship and win candidate.

5 Fighter Squadron - Second start off the claim by Bob Hess; notice he switches to his main man this meet Kent Desormeaux.

Long Shot - 4 Graeme Crackerjack

Race 4 - 6 furlongs, $90,000 C.E.R.F., Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

1 Reneesgotzip - Peter Miller is putting all his marbles on the table to win the trainer title; valuable mare ran just 2 weeks ago.

6 Go West Marie - Exits the rich $200K Fleet Treat for this supposedly easier spot; probably didn’t expect to see Reneesgotzip.

Long Shot - 5 Clearly Confused

Race 5 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Claiming $8,000, 3-year-olds and up

11 Zip Cat - Don’t expect a short horse from Peter Miller; he needs every win he can muster and this one is new to the barn.

3 World Famous Sam T - Tepid chalk in a wide open affair; this is a key race that ends the pick 5 and starts the final pick 6.

Long Shot - 12 Sunrise Legacy

Race 6 - 1 mile (turf), $100,000 Oak Tree Juvenile Turf, 2-year-olds

9 Sky Preacher - Dougt O’Neill sat on this colt since a big MSW win at Santa Anita; the turf, overall, has been kind to speed.

3 Dallas Skyline - Sharp debut win from the Cody Autrey barn; his stock improves year after year that he is sending to Del Mar.

Long Shot - 2 Papacoolpapacool

Race 7 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $75,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds

12 Zendai - Must draw in from the also eligible list; did everything but win in a well meant career debut.

2 Cougar Country - FTS from Rafael Bejarano and Jerry Hollendorfer; been working well so watch the tote board for additional clues.

Long Shot - 6 Fame and Power

Race 8 - 7 furlongs, $300,000 Del Mar Futurity, 2-year-olds

9 Skyway - Mark Casse is taking a lot of SoCal money home with him to Canada; this guy looked so good winning the Best Pal.

6 Henry’s Holiday - This colt is clearly a 2-turn horse; what he’s able to do in sprints this early is a testament to his potential.

Long Shot - 8 Holiday Camp

Race 9 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $75,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, Fillies, 2-year-olds

7 Stormy Adieu - One of the last ship and win horses tries for the big bonus on closing day; she loved the Polytrack at Arlington.

8 Definitely Not - Showed some improvement in her second career start; Jerry Hollendorfer has dominated this entire meet.

Long Shot - 1 Flat Footed Mama

Race 10 - 1 mile (turf), Purse $77,000, Allowance, Fillies, 3-year-olds

1 Taste Like Candy - Rafael Bejarano can win 3 or 4 more races today; this one finally gets a chance to hug the rail throughout.

8 Kukaluka - We’ll see if Peter Miller needs this win or not; chasing Jerry Hollendorfer for the title right down to the last race.
