4 Urban Hunter - Gets top choice off a couple solid wins in a row; claimed by Julio Canani, he does not claim many empty wagons.
2 Kafister - Takes a subtle class drop to face an easier test; has a strong 4-of-7 wins over the Santa Anita main dirt track.
Long Shot - 5 Hadfunlastnight
Race 2 - 7 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Maiden claiming $30,000, 3-year-olds
9 Congrats Seattle - Name is a bad joke considering the end of the Super Bowl; ran a winning race last out for this bottom class level.
11 Captain Carchy - Has finished in the money in 4-of-6 starts; that consistency alone has him as one to fear in a very slow field.
Long Shot - 3 Fabber
Race 3 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $80,000, 3-year-olds
1 Pat the Bear - Claimed by Peter Miller two races ago; ran a bang up winner in last and now is protected in the class rise spot.
5 Well Maybe - Chalk was last seen graduating over a good MSW field; was 40/1 odds that day, won’t be anywhere near that this afternoon.
Long Shot - 4 Conquest Harlanday
Race 4 - 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 8 feet), Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $20,000, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
8 Chati’s On Top - Has three in the money finishes down the hill without winning; has come razor close to victory and must be feared.
2 Sprague River - Won down the hill last out; it’s a good sign as horses that win down the hill tend to keep doing well over it.
Long Shot - 9 Discatsonthesquare

8 tiz My Cherrie - If you didn’t respect Blaine Wright the first or second time, now it’s the third; this one is also very live.
5 Beth’s Bling - Ran evenly in career debut and figures to show improvement; value with Kathy Walsh and Martin Garcia.

6 Ambitious Brew - Talk about a hillside turf course specialist; only blemish was losing by 3-lengths in the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint.
2 Boozer - Another who absolutely adores the hillside turf course; cuts back in distance from 9-furlongs for this elongated sprint.

12 Gimme Da Lute - Bob Baffert baby did everything but win in nice career debut; he takes the blinkers off in his second career start.
