Horse Racing: Today at Santa Anita, Oct. 16

Post Time 1 p.m.

Race 1 – 6 furlongs, Purse $32,000, Claiming $32,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
4 Exposure – HOF trainer Bob Baffert is tough in a grade 1 stakes or with a cull like this; sliding down the claiming ladder where she is facing her friends.
5 Stealth Drone – Was claimed two races ago at this exact price tag by trainer Danny Velasquez; ran OK in last but will need to improve one step to beat these.
Long Shot – 2 Frisco Fog

Race 2 – 1 mile, Purse $15,000, Claiming $12,500, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
4 Luvuryan – Was claimed for $25K by trainer Philip D'Amato and shoved down our throats for $12,500; can beat these if she's feeling 90 percent.
2 Watdifrenzdzitmake – Sliding down the claiming ladder to this career low class; part of an uncoupled entry for trainer Philip D'Amato, he has this race surrounded.
Long Shot – 6 Class Devine

Race 3 – 6 ½ furlongs (turf, rail at 24 feet), Purse $52,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds
8 Agronomy – FTS from trainer John Sadler has been working great in the a.m.; Sadler has an uncoupled entry, as do Richard Mandella and Doug O'Neill, so caveat emptor.
7 American League – You have a big edge over me to start this Pick 6 with a $195K carryover; pay close attention to the tote board and probables and see who is hot.
Long Shot – 6 Tristan's Trilogy

Race 4 – 6 furlongs, Purse $52,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
1 So Sweetitiz – Was bet down to favorite in her debut and she did everything but win in a fine race; draws the rail, but keeps her main man Rafael Bejarano to ride.
4 Lily Pod – Speedball has been well bet in all three of her career starts; tried blinkers on in last, now switches to Mario Gutierrez to pilot.
Long Shot – 6 Untouchable U

Race 5 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 24 feet), Purse $52,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up
4 Alamo – With jockey Flavien Prat sidelined due to injury, a lot of his best mounts will go to pilots like Rafael Bejarano; ran well down the hill last May.
6 Sleepwalker – Outran his 14/1 odds last time when second in his grass debut; may have found a new home on grass, let's see how he does this afternoon.
Long Shot – 3 One of the Greats

Race 6 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $24,000, Starter allowance $16,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
3 Enduring Erin – Got herself eligible for this condition with a claiming race for $16K two races back; she has a class edge now and is in solid form to boot.
2 Papaslilprincess – Claimed by trainer Mike Machowsky who must have read the condition book pretty closely; key vote is Rafael Bejarano taking the call.
Long Shot – 5 I'm No Patsy

Race 7 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 24 feet), Purse $55,000, Optional claiming $62,500, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
6 Chalk O Lattey – With the turf rail out 24 feet, should have a nice trip with her tactical speed; she is fast enough to lead or follow close up throughout.
2 Rattataptap – Exits three graded stakes for this condition optional claimer; has good tactical speed to carve out a trip regardless of the pace.
Long Shot – 1 Causeway Carolyn

Race 8 – 6 furlongs, Purse $28,000, Maiden claiming $50,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
5 Chromium – Ran a much improved race first time for a price tag; you know I've been backing trainer Kenny Black's stock and believe me it's going to pay off soon.
7 Third Division – His third race was the best race of his brief career so far; your edge over me will be in seeing the action on the trio of FTS.
Long Shot – 2 Hopesky

Best Bet - 3 Enduring Erin (race 6)
