TODAY AT LOS ALAMITOS by Richard Eng
Post Time 2 p.m.
Race 1 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Maiden claiming $50,000, Cal-breds, 2-year-olds
6 Outthink’em - Walther Solis has an uncoupled entry; both are very live, in fact it could be a Solis exacta box.
1 Westward - Gets class relief from Del Mar to Los Alamitos; these have to be an easier bunch to face.
Long Shot - 4 Lannister
Race 2 - 5 furlongs, Purse $12,000, Claiming $6,250, 3-year-olds and up
2 Faster Cat - Quinn Howey is practically a legend despite a tiny stable; no one does more, with less, than this trainer.
1 Midnight Roar - Leap of faith that his class can carry him further tonight; his last two races were really stinkers though.
Long Shot - 3 Country Hero
Race 3 - 1 mile, Purse $42,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up
4 Power Crazed - Is this colt named after Roger Goodell or what; Bob Baffert doesn’t run many here, but he still protects this one.
1 Candy’s Shoes - Off the turf angle and facing easier switching from Del Mar to Los Alamitos; should save very inch of ground.
Long Shot - 5 Deputy Striker
Race 4 - 5 furlongs, Purse $12,000, Claiming $6,250, 3-year-olds and up
4 Mi Agave - This guy sure does love Los Alamitos; facing a different kind of cat here, but may be going this good right now.
5 Mary Helen’s Storm - Is dropped in price tag despite winning last time out; skipped the Del Mar meet, water was too deep.
Long Shot - 6 Mason B
Race 5 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $42,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
6 Spectacular Proof - Did everything but win in a big debut effort; claimed by Robertino Diodoro and protected in this MSW.
2 Flyin for a Livin - Like that Kent Desormeaux is accepting some mounts at Los Alamitos; he built up a lot of business at Del Mar.
Long Shot - 8 Mia Luccia
Race 6 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $12,000, Claiming $6,250, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
3 Senjen - Never heard of this trainer, but he is winning at 18 percent; hungry rider Felipe Martinez on a speedball type.
5 Courageousandbold - Tepid chalk has faced much tougher in the past; class relief and early speed could get her a photo today.
Long Shot - 2 Keyed to Rock
Race 7 - 6 furlongs, Purse $46,000, Optional claiming $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
9 Harlington’s Rose - Steve Knapp likes to win races on the class drop, and this is a big class drop; ordinary group tonight.

Long Shot - 6 Lucky S. J.
Race 8 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, 3-year-olds and up
5 Badasmywifeletsmeb - Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; exiting turf for dirt in here.

Long Shot - 7 Renegade Cowboy
Best Bet - 4 Power Crazed (race 3)
