Following the homestand, the 51s travel to Fresno for four games beginning Saturday. ... The 51s are 6-1 this season vs. Colorado Springs, the lone loss coming April 18 when the Sky Sox won 10-6 at Cashman Field. ... Mike Esposito, who played his high school ball at Cimarron-Memorial, is scheduled to pitch Friday for Colorado Springs. Esposito, a 25-year-old right-hander, is 3-0 with a 7.01 ERA. ... Two members of the Sky Sox, third baseman Ian Stewart and pitcher Ubaldo Jimanez, are on Baseball America's top-10 list of prospects for the parent Colorado Rockies. ... With the Los Angeles Dodgers placing pitcher Jason Schmidt on the 15-day DL Monday because of problems with his right shoulder, outfielder Marlon Anderson was recalled from his rehab assignment in Las Vegas. Anderson was coming back from elbow surgery last month and in 11 games with the 51s batted .241 with one home run and 11 RBIs. ... The 51s and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, in conjunction with United Blood Services, will sponsor a blood drive from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday. All donors will receive a voucher for a pair of tickets to the 51s game that night along with an insulated lunch bag.
