Eldorado slips past Jaguars

Willie Bell’s free throw with 15 seconds to play gave Eldorado’s boys basketball team a 71-70 home win over Desert Pines on Wednesday.

Desert Pines had several opportunities to win in the closing seconds but missed its final four shots.

Mitrell Clark led the Sundevils with 21 points. Curtis Malone scored 14, and Charles White had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Eldorado.

Pierre Jackson led the Jaguars with 20 points.

Bishop Gorman 80, Bonanza 50 — At Gorman, Quintin Dailey had 17 points and nine rebounds for the Gaels.

Kylel Coleman had 11 points and 10 assists for Gorman.

Spring Valley 72, Sierra Vista 51 — At Sierra Vista, Tenacious Gibson scored 18 points, including four 3-pointers, as the Grizzlies rolled.

Ronnie Norsworthy had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Spring Valley. Amir Garrett scored 20 for the Lions.

Canyon Springs 103, Rancho 56 — At Canyon Springs, Deremy Geiger had 23 points and seven assists to lead the Pioneers, who had five players score in double figures.

Kevin Dupree led the Rams with 20 points.

Durango 53, Clark 31 — At Durango, Glenn Pulliam scored 10 points to help the Trailblazers to victory.

Isidro Garcia led the Chargers with 16 points.

Valley 60, Chaparral 33 — At Chaparral, Cordero Harris had 14 points and Terrence Tatum 10 as the Vikings rolled.

Tyler Bryant had 11 points and LeAndre Dunbar and Tyquiese Anthony 10 each for the Cowboys.

Agassi Prep 85, Indian Springs 33 — At Agassi Prep, Quincey Brown scored 20 points for the Stars, who bolted to a 51-19 halftime lead.

Needles (Calif.) 62, Boulder City 55 — At Boulder City, Stevie Kidd and Darra Evans each scored 19 points to lead the Mustangs.

Joey Western scored 16 points and Jeremy Smith 15 for the Eagles.


Chaparral 52, Valley 50 — At Valley, Amanda Mayes scored 16 points, including a game-winning shot at the buzzer, for the Cowboys.

Roxanne Pipitone had 10 points, including three 3-pointers, for Chaparral. Vanessa Corona scored 20 for the Vikings.

Bishop Gorman 73, Bonanza 34 — At Bishop Gorman, Dannielle Diamant had 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Gaels.

Darriel Gaynor had 12 points, 10 assists and six steals for Gorman.

Sierra Vista 61, Spring Valley 38 — At Sierra Vista, Jeanette Jackson had 17 points and Danielle Patella 15 as the Lions whipped the Grizzlies.

Spring Valley’s Tierra Newman led all scorers with 19 points.

Rancho 66, Canyon Springs 38 — At Canyon Springs, Khalia Branch had 28 points to lead the Rams.

Shayna Porter-Banks scored 16 for Rancho. Marica King and Briony Hinton each had 10 points for the Pioneers.

Desert Pines 56, Eldorado 47 — At Eldorado, Jalisha Meeks scored 14 points and Ashley Flemming 13 for the Jaguars.

Tonisha McGee had 13 points for the Sundevils.

Durango 73, Clark 38 — At Durango, Lindy La Rocque had 40 points and 11 rebounds as the Trailblazers rolled.

Kristen Gaines had 16 rebounds for Durango. Chantelle Robinson scored 17 for the Chargers.
