Gay, White power No. 6 San Diego State to victory over Air Force

SAN DIEGO -- D.J. Gay scored 20 points, and former Green Valley High School standout Billy White had 10 of his 12 during a decisive 13-3 run as No. 6 San Diego State beat Air Force 68-55 on Wednesday night to extend the country's longest active winning streak to a school-record 20 games.
The Aztecs (20-0, 5-0 Mountain West Conference) remain one of Division I's three unbeaten teams. They are off until a showdown at conference rival and ninth-ranked Brigham Young on Wednesday.
Sophomore forward Kawhi Leonard had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Aztecs, his 13th double-double this season and 30th of his career.
Tom Fow scored 21 points for Air Force (10-7, 1-3).
■ Utah 82, New Mexico 72 -- At Salt Lake City, Josh Watkins scored 22 points and J.J. O'Brien a career-high 18 to help the Utes beat the Lobos.
Watkins scored on a variety of drives and pushed the ball at every opportunity as the Utes (9-10, 2-3) won their second in a row after dropping seven straight games.
Kendall Williams led New Mexico (13-6, 1-3) with 18 points. Dairese Gary had 15 points and five assists, setting a conference record for career assists with 483.
