George Steinbrenner flipped off Red Sox after Yankees won 2003 ALCS

George Steinbrenner added insult to injury after the New York Yankees beat the Boston Red Sox on Aaron Boone's home run in Game 7 of the 2003 American League Championship Series. Despite the crushing loss for Boston, former Red Sox first baseman Kevin Millar told "The Dan Patrick Show" that the late Yankees owner gave them a two-finger salute as they left the Bronx.
"Everyone's crying and sad in the locker room," Millar said. "We go get on the bus, and there's two middle fingers by the senior (Steinbrenner), and I'm like, 'What just happened?'
"That's rude, that's mean, our feelings are already hurt and you just flipped us off. There's no rivalry here, you've got 27 rings, you guys aren't sharing."
Millar said he can laugh at Steinbrenner's antics now, since the Red Sox erased a 3-0 deficit to the Yankees to win the 2004 ALCS en route to claiming their first World Series crown in 86 years.
"You look back on it now, it's hilarious," Millar said. "That's funny. Back then? I think we all wanted to jump out and choke somebody out."
