Nic Hague signs entry-level deal with Golden Knights

Defenseman Nic Hague signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Golden Knights, the team announced.

Hague, a 19-year-old from Kitchener, Ontario, recently rejoined his junior team, the Mississauga Steelheads, after participating in the Knights’ rookie camp and fall training camp. He appeared in one NHL preseason game, a 9-4 win over Vancouver on Sept. 17, playing 12:26 and recording an assist.

Hague was a second-round pick in the NHL Entry Draft, taken by the Knights at No. 34 overall. In 2016-17, he had 18 goals and 28 assists in 65 games for the Steelheads. In 2015-16, he represented Canada in the U-18 World Junior Championship.
