Gordon’s final race in Las Vegas highlights weekend TV schedule

Gentlemen, start your televisions. Especially if you can’t make it to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the city’s annual NASCAR weekend.

Four-time Cup champion Jeff Gordon, 43, will make his final appearance at LVMS in Sunday’s Sprint Cup Kobalt Tools 400 (12:30 p.m., Fox, Channel 5). The “Rainbow Warrior,” who is retiring after this season, has won 92 races, the most among active drivers and third all time.

Brad Keselowski swept the board on NASCAR weekend in Las Vegas last year, outlasting Las Vegas native Kyle Busch in the Nationwide Series Boyd Gaming 300 for his first victory at LVMS before winning the Kobalt 400 after Dale Earnhardt Jr. ran out of gas on the final lap.

The Xfinity Series Boyd Gaming 300 will be run at 1 p.m. Saturday (FS1 (329)).
